Provide compassionate, in-home veterinary care for pets and their families in Washington, DC, during some of their most difficult moments. As a mobile veterinarian, you’ll conduct 3–4 unhurried visits per day, focusing on hospice and end-of-life services that honor both animal well-being and family needs.

Practice with Purpose

Deliver care aligned with your personal values, free from the constraints of a traditional clinic. Work independently while staying connected to a national network of veterinarians and support professionals. You’ll be present during deeply meaningful transitions, offering comfort and dignity to pets and emotional support to their people.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds with help
  • Availability for occasional weekend work
  • Successful completion of background and motor vehicle record checks

Support and Benefits

Enjoy a guaranteed base salary with no negative accrual, ranging from $85,000 to $140,000, plus bonus opportunities and a tenure-based bonus. You’ll receive comprehensive onboarding, ongoing mentorship, and 24/7 access to clinical support. Additional benefits include a 401k with 3% company match, generous PTO that grows over time, medical, dental, and vision coverage, and up to $2,000 annually for continuing education.

Additional offerings include a wellness stipend, free CPEV certification, paid parental and bereavement leave, life and disability insurance, pet insurance, and dependent care FSA. Flexible 2–5 day workweeks allow for true work-life balance, supporting long-term professional sustainability.

Culture and Values

This role is built on kindness, gratitude, and emotional fulfillment. You’ll be part of a supportive community that values personal freedom, professional fulfillment, and purpose-driven medicine. Practice in a way that sustains both your career and your well-being.
