What You'll Do
Deliver in-home euthanasia, hospice, and palliative services with a focus on minimizing fear and stress for aging or terminally ill pets. You’ll spend quality time with each family, offering compassionate guidance through end-of-life decisions in the comfort of their homes. Your role centers on dignity, emotional presence, and clinical excellence.
You’ll maintain detailed medical records, collaborate with internal leadership teams, and engage in ongoing education to support clinical growth. As a trusted extension of local veterinary practices, you’ll build relationships with clinics to ensure continuity of care. Participation in training and professional development is encouraged and supported.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS) from an accredited institution
- Active veterinary license or ability to obtain one in the state of practice
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work a rotating weekend schedule
- Physical capacity to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Successful completion of a background check and motor vehicle record review prior to starting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in veterinary hospice or palliative medicine
- Fear Free certification or similar training in low-stress handling
