About the Role
The role involves designing and executing test plans for mobile applications, identifying bugs, and working closely with development teams to ensure software meets quality standards before release.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test cases for mobile platforms
- Execute manual and automated test scripts to validate application functionality
- Identify, document, and track software defects using issue management tools
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve identified issues
- Verify bug fixes and ensure regression does not impact existing features
- Conduct performance and usability testing on mobile applications
- Validate app behavior across multiple devices and operating system versions
- Ensure compliance with functional and non-functional requirements
- Participate in agile development cycles including sprint planning and reviews
- Contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mobile testing tools and methodologies
- Assess risks associated with new features and changes
- Provide feedback on user interface and user experience design
- Support deployment and post-release monitoring activities
- Work closely with product managers to understand feature specifications
Nice to Have
- Certification in software testing or quality assurance
- Experience in healthcare or regulated software environments
- Familiarity with HIPAA or other data privacy standards
- Background in test-driven development practices
