CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is hiring a Mobile Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building system operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the performance of various areas including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems to ensure optimal building functionality.
What You'll Do
- Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
- Ensure facility and building systems comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives.
- Assist with implementing a preventive maintenance program to extend the service life of building machinery and systems.
- Perform emergency repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
- Follow policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace for yourself and others.
- Review inspections of building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to ensure they operate within design capabilities.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard engineering principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments.
- Model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values and lead by example.
- Work to build consensus and effectively convince others to reach agreements.
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within your team and related groups.
- Work within broad guidelines and policies to achieve objectives.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in building maintenance and repair across multiple trade disciplines (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
- In-depth knowledge of standard maintenance principles, techniques, and safety procedures.
- Ability to comply with all building codes, regulations, and governmental agency directives.
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex assignments and emergency repair situations.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and a commitment to modeling CBRE RISE values.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to build consensus and work with others.
- Ability to work independently within broad guidelines and impact activities across multiple teams.
