Cushman & Wakefield Global, Inc is looking for a Mobile Building Engineer to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of all HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment for assigned commercial properties. You'll be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, responding to emergencies, and ensuring a safe, comfortable building environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform all plumbing, electrical, or HVAC inspections and repairs.
- Maintain heating and cooling equipment, including chillers, DX units, pumps, rooftop units, split systems, fan coil units, VAVs, and air distribution systems.
- Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment, steam stations, control gauges, valves, thermostats, and diffusers.
- Verify field conditions and perform any necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Monitor Energy Management systems.
- Perform general carpentry, painting, and repairs to doors, ceilings, hand railings, and floors.
- Perform repairs to plumbing fixtures.
- Perform preventive maintenance duties in accordance with standards and manufacturer recommendations.
- Inspect emergency electrical equipment, electric rooms, back-up generators, sump pumps, and ejector pumps.
- Replace lamps, light fixtures, and signage.
- Check for properly operating emergency exit signs and lights and ensure clear access to emergency stairs and exits.
- Perform fire and life safety inspections as per NFPA, local jurisdiction, and company standards.
- Document and report activities to supervisor.
- Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer concerns.
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives.
- Complete all required Safety Training as scheduled.
- Comply with Uniform Dress Code and maintain a neat appearance.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- 5+ years of related work experience in operating HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems in a commercial property setting.
- Appropriate license/permit for trade as may be required.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record with periodic checks.
- Basic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.
- Experience in operation, maintenance and basic repair of HVAC, boilers, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, water systems.
- Knowledgeable in energy management systems, techniques and operations.
- Thorough knowledge in all building systems operations, maintenance and repair.
- May be required to have certification as a Universal Technician for CFC’s.
- Ability to stoop, stand, climb, frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.
Nice to Have
- Graduate of apprentice program or trade school.
Team & Environment
You may be the only maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts.
