Colorado Preparatory Academy (COPA) / Stride K12 seeks a Middle School English Teacher to deliver specific course content in an online environment for Insight School of Washington (ISWA). This highly qualified, state-certified educator will provide instruction, support, and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students’ individual needs.
What You'll Do
- Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.
- Commit to personalizing learning for all students.
- Differentiate instruction based on student mastery level.
- Augment course content using prescribed tools under guidance from principal and coach.
- Maintain grade books, ensure academic integrity, and alert administrators to performance concerns.
- Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests.
- Establish and maintain positive rapport with families and communicate regularly with learning coaches.
- Support learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic technical troubleshooting.
- Travel as required (approximately 20% of the time) for professional development and student testing.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree.
- Active Washington state teaching license with an English Certificate.
- Ability to clear required background check.
- Fingerprinting through the Washington State Patrol (WSP) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), or the ability to achieve it.

- Experience working with the proposed age group.
- Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology.
- Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or brick-and-mortar environment.
- Experience with online learning platforms.
- Ability to work collaboratively to interpret student data and drive instructional decisions.
- Receptive to receiving regular coaching.
- Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
- Ability to rapidly learn new technologies and teaching platforms.
- Ability to maintain certification and fluency in K12 systems.
