TD Bank Group is looking for a Mgr Fraud Operations - Check Fraud Claims to lead a team responsible for investigating and resolving check fraud cases. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and leadership skills to drive team performance while collaborating across the business to mitigate risk.
What You'll Do
- Manage a group of Fraud professionals providing operational support to partners.
- Act as a key liaison and subject matter expert for partners and external groups.
- Monitor service and control standards against business objectives.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners.
- Contribute to business plan development and operationalize the plan.
- Monitor and communicate the effectiveness of strategies and programs to Senior Management.
- Proactively identify key business opportunities and recommend enhancements.
- Ensure operations comply with applicable internal and external requirements.
- Manage the overall budget, revenue, and expenditures to meet objectives.
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives as a subject matter expert.
- Set team targets and objectives and deliver results.
- Grow team expertise to align with business demand.
- Lead a high-performing team; provide feedback, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Set performance objectives and track, monitor, and address performance.
- Manage employees in compliance with all HR policies and guidelines.
- Recruit to build a highly diverse and qualified workforce.
- Act as a brand ambassador for your function and the bank.
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma required.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- 3+ years of people management experience.
- Proficient knowledge of business goals, policies, programs, processes, and systems.
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends.
- Ability to contribute to strategic direction and advise senior leadership.
- Ability to establish goals that support the strategic plan.
- Knowledge of the risk management environment, standards, and regulations.
- Ability to implement and evaluate program/project activities.
- Skilled in using software tools, methods, and techniques.
- Skilled in preparing and managing budgets and resource allocation.
- Skilled in mentoring, coaching, and performance management.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships.
- Skilled in using computer applications including MS Office.
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work successfully as a team member and independently.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
