Bombardier is looking for a Methods Tooling Agent to collaborate with production, engineering, and methods teams on implementing innovative tooling solutions. You will be responsible for the end-to-end process of analyzing tool requests, managing external supplier manufacturing, and providing critical technical support to ensure operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Analyze tool requests in collaboration with production, aircraft methods support, and engineering to find innovative technological solutions.
- Create, validate, and issue cost analyses for all types of jigs used in aircraft component manufacturing and assembly.
- Participate with tool designers in the definition of tool concepts.
- Issue order instructions to external suppliers for tool manufacturing per specific requirements.
- Support external suppliers during the manufacturing phase.
- Ensure rigorous follow-up of each request to minimize delays.
- Inspect tools to ensure conformity to drawings before delivery to production.
- Participate in and support the first trial of jigs with the aircraft methods support group and production.
- Provide technical support to various production sectors and assist operations during technical issues.
- Travel to different sites around the world to carry out inspections and evaluations of jigs.
What We're Looking For
- College diploma in mechanical manufacturing or aeronautics.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical knowledge in mechanical manufacturing.
- Proficiency in working in both French and English.
- Good manual experience in the field of specialized tools.
- Knowledge of the aeronautical field, specifically interior finishing assembly.
- Analytical mind and a strong sense of organization.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Catia V5 drawing software.
- Experience in project management.
