Mentis AI is looking for a Medical Billing Specialist (DME) to join an AI training project. In this role, you will review and evaluate AI-generated outputs related to durable medical equipment billing, helping to train and refine our models. You will work asynchronously on a dedicated platform, providing structured feedback on key billing processes.

What You'll Do

Perform structured reviews of AI outputs, assessing intake, eligibility/benefits, prior authorizations, coding, submission, and payment posting.
Flag errors, omissions, and compliance risks in AI-generated billing scenarios.
Verify the presence and adequacy of required DME documentation such as physician orders, proof of delivery, same/similar checks, and medical necessity.
Validate payer rules, frequency limits, coverage determinations, timely filing, and overall claim readiness.
Classify denial reasons, propose corrective actions, and outline reconsideration/appeal pathways and resubmission strategies.
Provide clear, actionable feedback to refine training guidelines, identify edge cases, and improve AI-assisted decision-making.

What We're Looking For

A minimum of 2 years of hands-on Durable Medical Equipment (DME) billing experience.
Strong understanding of the complete claim lifecycle, DME documentation, payer rules, denials, and appeals.
A proven track record of accuracy and consistency in medical billing tasks.
Comfortable using structured data labeling tools and digital review platforms.
Professional working English proficiency for written deliverables.
