Our network includes outpatient surgical procedures, endoscopic services, diagnostic imaging, cardiac evaluations, and medical infusion treatments. Our primary facility is situated at 194 North Street in Danvers, MA. We are recruiting a per diem Medical Assistant to support our clinical practice onsite. Our facility operates Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM, comprising six physicians and three nurse practitioners. We maintain a balanced provider-to-medical assistant ratio to optimize efficiency, collaboration, and patient care quality. Our dedicated clinical educators and onsite mentors provide comprehensive support for both novice and experienced Medical Assistants, ensuring confidence through hands-on training and real-time guidance. Job Summary The role supports healthcare teams by providing clinical and administrative patient services under healthcare providers' supervision. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, documenting patient information, managing appointments, and facilitating patient flow. This position requires direct patient interaction to ensure comfort, address concerns, and collaborate with medical professionals to streamline care delivery. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions - Mentor junior Medical Assistants through daily operational guidance and onboarding training - Escort patients to examination rooms, prepare medical equipment, conduct patient interviews - Obtain and document patient vital signs, measurements, and medical information - Explain treatment protocols, medication instructions, dietary recommendations - Perform administrative tasks including phone management, dictation, insurance documentation - Act as interdepartmental liaison with patient advocacy approach - Collect and process laboratory specimens - Manage immunization inventory and administer vaccines - Implement departmental quality improvement initiatives Qualifications Education: High School Diploma required Credentials: BLS Certification, Medical Assistant Certification preferred Experience: 0-1 year medical field experience preferred Key Competencies - Exceptional interpersonal communication skills - Task prioritization in dynamic environments - Meticulous attention to detail - Comprehensive understanding of medical protocols - Electronic health record system proficiency - Analytical problem-solving capabilities - Effective time management Strongly Preferred: - Medical Assistant program completion - National MA Certification - Epic system experience Work Details: - Location: 194 North Street - Type: Per Diem - Shift: Day - Pay Range: $17.36 - $24.45/Hourly Mass General Brigham Medical Group Northern Massachusetts, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity, inclusivity, and providing reasonable accommodations for all qualified candidates.
