Temple Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to join our team at Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, you will administer and perform triage and direct care to assigned patients under the direction of the RN/Nurse Manager, contributing to our mission of advancing the fight against disease and educating future healthcare professionals.
What You'll Do
- Perform triage and direct care to assigned patients under RN/Nurse Manager supervision.
- Administer patient care functions such as height/weight and vital signs.
- Update patient medical records.
- Assist clinicians with exams as requested.
- Ensure a smooth flow of patients through the office by providing efficient basic care.
- Perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the office running smoothly.
- Perform secretarial support, including checking patients in and out, filing, copying, and answering the phone.
- Assist front desk operations with general clerical tasks as requested by the Practice Manager.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- General experience relevant to the role.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant OR Certified Medical Assistant OR Registered Medical Assistant credential.
Team & Environment
You will work under the direction and supervision of the RN/Nurse Manager and also report to the Practice Manager.
Work Mode
This position is fully onsite at our Chestnut Hill Hospital location in Philadelphia, PA.
