About the Role
The role involves developing and maintaining automated manufacturing solutions by combining mechanical systems, electronics, and programmable controls. The engineer will support production scalability, system reliability, and process innovation within a fast-paced technical environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy integrated mechatronic systems for production environments
- Develop automation solutions using programmable logic controllers and embedded systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize manufacturing workflows
- Troubleshoot and maintain robotic and automated equipment
- Create technical documentation for system designs and operational procedures
- Implement sensor and feedback systems for process control
- Support prototyping and testing of new automation concepts
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in system design
- Integrate mechanical components with electronic controls and software
- Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement
- Work with cross-functional teams to align automation with production goals
- Develop and maintain human-machine interface (HMI) applications
- Perform root cause analysis on system failures
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for existing production lines
- Assist in the selection and qualification of automation components
