About the Role
Professionals will be responsible for monitoring and verifying that mechanical and electrical systems are installed according to plans, providing technical guidance, and maintaining accurate records throughout project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Inspect installation of mechanical and electrical systems to confirm adherence to project drawings and specifications
- Conduct regular site visits and progress assessments
- Review contractor submittals including shop drawings and material samples
- Verify compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations
- Support quality assurance and quality control processes
- Document field observations and non-conformance issues
- Coordinate with design teams to resolve technical discrepancies
- Facilitate communication between contractors and engineering staff
- Track project milestones and report on status updates
- Ensure proper commissioning procedures for MEP systems
- Maintain daily logs and inspection records
- Assist in resolving field changes and design conflicts
- Monitor adherence to project schedule and specifications
- Provide technical feedback during construction meetings
- Support health and safety compliance on site
- Review as-built documentation for accuracy
- Oversee testing and balancing of mechanical systems
- Validate electrical system installations and connections
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials
- Assist in final punch list development and closure
- Promote efficient coordination between trades
- Verify contractor compliance with contract requirements
- Support resolution of technical field queries
- Ensure proper documentation of deviations and approvals
- Contribute to risk mitigation strategies during construction
