At Energia Modo, we're establishing the global benchmark for evaluating and assessing electrification infrastructure assets - enabling returns for battery storage systems, renewable generators, and data center technologies. The role encompasses a dynamic position for a market research professional with expertise in power markets and a passion for generating pioneering, industry-transformative research and analysis supporting customers and the battery energy storage sector. The professional will collaborate with Energia Modo's data, modeling, and product teams to strategize and develop data analytics products that will revolutionize workflows across the power industry. Current Energia Modo tools assist organizations in financing, constructing, benchmarking, and operating battery energy storage systems. This opportunity positions the successful candidate to become an influential thought leader by applying advanced tools and personal expertise to generate novel industry insights. The candidate will significantly impact the company and broader market as we expand research and product offerings across North American Independent System Operators and Regional Transmission Organizations. Responsibilities: - Generate data-driven analytical insights about power markets, asset operations, and future perspectives through written articles and presentations - Maintain current awareness of market and policy developments, communicating insights internally and externally - Build and leverage industry network to exchange information and establish credibility - Collaborate cross-functionally to align organizational efforts - Support New York office operations and culture development Qualifications: - Minimum 2+ years professional experience in power systems, energy trading, infrastructure finance, or policy - Comprehensive understanding of electricity market mechanics, particularly battery energy storage systems in North American markets - Superior quantitative and analytical capabilities - Exceptional written communication skills - Strong critical thinking and independent reasoning abilities Preferred Qualifications: - Python data analysis experience - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics - Power flow and market pricing fundamentals - Familiarity with ISO/RTO data products Important Details: - In-person collaborative workplace - Tuesday-Thursday office attendance mandatory - Flexible remote options Monday/Friday - Salary range: $100,000 - $150,000 Energia Modo is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive environment.
