We are currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer with a consultative, analytical, and highly communicative approach, capable of steering data architecture and engineering projects from conceptualization to execution. The optimal candidate will architect, develop, and refine Data Lake infrastructures and data workflows on AWS, emphasizing workload transitions, real-time data synchronization, and comprehensive governance. This position demands both technical proficiency and strategic perspective, collaborating across functional teams to transform business requirements into adaptable, data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Develop contemporary Data Lake / Data Mesh infrastructures - Manage workload and pipeline migrations across on-premises and cloud environments - Construct and optimize batch and streaming data pipelines ensuring scalability and dependability - Implement Change Data Capture and real-time streaming utilizing Kafka and Kinesis - Maintain observability, security, and governance throughout data workflows - Coordinate with Data Scientists, Architects, and Stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions - Provide technical leadership supporting architectural modernization strategies Required Qualifications: - Extensive experience with AWS Data Services - Proficiency in CDC frameworks - Advanced background in Kafka and orchestration platforms - Expertise in Python and SQL for ETL/ELT development - Demonstrated data workload migration experience - Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD practices - Exceptional cross-team communication capabilities Preferred Qualifications: - Consulting or client-facing role experience - Analytical and solution-oriented mindset - Databricks, Spark, and Delta Lake expertise - Knowledge of BigQuery and Azure Data Services - MLOps understanding - Infrastructure as Code proficiency - Technical English fluency Location: Remote, São Paulo, Brazil
