Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, seeks a Manufacturing Process Engineer IV to conceive, design, and lead advanced independent and multidisciplinary research and development. You will be responsible for major process and product design improvements, applying project management and engineering knowledge to drive projects from concept through closure in our manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Conceptualize and implement novel approaches using combinations of engineering and scientific principles.
- Investigate, develop, and recommend alternatives for design, procurement, and installation of new equipment or systems for optimal resource utilization.
- Design and coordinate experiments to test hypotheses related to project outcomes, assuring quality through sound experimental design.
- Implement new technical alternatives for research from literature review, industry knowledge, and extensive development experience.
- Apply advanced technical writing skills to produce reports and documents; evaluate the writing of others.
- Compile and evaluate design and test data, prepare technical specifications, and determine appropriate limits and variables for specifications.
- Conduct qualification and validation studies for manufacturing processes, equipment, utilities, and cleaning validation.
- Work in a clean room environment.
- Champion new technologies and demonstrate applicability to departments and business units.
- Consistently and effectively present complex technical data to large and diverse groups; train and develop others.
- Lead project cross-functional teams; maintain and develop broad external and internal contacts.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, science, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence.
- 6+ years of significant engineering and/or operational experience.
- Demonstrated competency within a discipline and a strong technical knowledge base.
- Ability to interact well with diverse groups within engineering and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
- Strong interpersonal skills to negotiate and reconcile differences in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
- Industry experience exposure to FDA, GMP, 21CFR11, Data Integrity, Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Ability to provide technical program leadership, including external vendor management, and lead cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- A post-graduate education/degree, which may contribute towards the desired years of experience.
- Experience with robots and cobots.
- Working experience with SCADA and PLCs (such as Allen-Bradley and Inductive Automation), programming in ladder logic and instructional texts.
- HMI graphics development and management experience.
- A technical background in health care, medical devices, pharmaceutical, biologics, or similar industries.
