About the Role

The Boeing Company is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to support the Platform Systems organization within Boeing Defense & Space. In this role, you will develop manufacturing plans, resolve technical problems, and implement lean principles for current and emerging Air Dominance products, including the F-15EX Eagle, F/A-18 Super Hornet, and T-7A Redhawk.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies.
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
  • Develop, identify, and implement conceptual designs while maintaining the program architecture for build.
  • Lead and implement manufacturing plans.
  • Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
  • Assist in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and help document best practices.
  • Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
  • Resolve technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost, or schedule.
  • Coordinate and implement new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts.
  • Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
  • Implement lean principles and technologies.
  • Review design requirements and approve new releases and revisions to existing designs.
  • Review and implement non-conformance requirements into shop floor work orders and supplier specifications.
  • Translate design requirements (EBOM) into Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) to create and maintain part demand.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of experience and technical education.
  • Experience using MESci, NX / Teamcenter, and familiarity with reading 2-D drawings.

Nice to Have

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical, or Material Sciences.
  • Manufacturing Engineering experience on military or commercial aircraft.

  • Compensation Range: Level 3: $103,700 - $140,300; Level 4: $126,650 - $171,350.
