Celestica is hiring a Manager, Test Development Engineering to join our team in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement automatic test equipment and programs for product testing and design verification. Your work will ensure the delivery of robust and high-quality assembled products into manufacturing.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development and implementation of technical solutions across multiple domains and participate in project planning.
- Review, interpret, and provide customer feedback on requirements and specifications.
- Lead the deployment of strategic programs and coordinate site-wide deployment efforts.
- Proactively promote industry best practices and may manage relationships with key vendors.
- Create structural or functional test strategies and plans to meet project goals.
- Develop technical proposals with costed BOM, hours, and schedule estimates.
- Lead requirements generation with minimal guidance, leveraging design specifications.
- Provide technical program management for mid to large projects.
- Establish best known methods and processes for test development for local and regional teams.
- Analyze industry trends to set short-term investment and skill development strategies.
- Develop production test strategies based on product design specifications.
- Design and develop test solutions including hardware and software elements, followed by system integration and qualification.
- Debug tester issues using design of experiments and failure analysis methodologies.
- Execute all validation and qualification requirements by applying statistical and industry methods.
- Stabilize test solutions for manufacturing, optimizing cycle time and yield with process teams.
- Work with product design teams to provide feedback on testability, coverage, and user experience.
- Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations.
- Set yearly plans and goals for the department, provide direction, and conduct performance evaluations.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
