Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is looking for a Manager, Support Engineer to lead technical assistance for high-performance computing (HPC) users. You will ensure seamless performance and customer satisfaction across cloud-based platforms, empowering global engineering teams to maximize computing power and solve complex problems.
What You'll Do
- Provide advanced technical support to customers using a complex HPC and CAE simulation platform.
- Resolve customer issues via email, chat, and ticketing systems with a strong focus on responsiveness and clarity.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to escalate bugs and deliver product improvements.
- Create comprehensive documentation, tutorials, and best practice guidelines to support user success.
- Conduct benchmarking, performance tuning, and internal testing to enhance platform efficiency and scalability.
- Contribute to automation efforts using shell scripting or related tools to streamline computing workflows.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality support across distributed teams while contributing to strategic support planning.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CAE software (CFD or FEA) and HPC environments.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience running simulations and interpreting results in CFD or FEA contexts.
- At least 3 years of experience with Linux-based HPC environments, including troubleshooting and optimization.
- Proven ability to automate compute tasks using shell scripts or similar tools.
- 3+ years supporting end-users or customers in a technical environment.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and Linux systems administration.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and customer-centric mindset.
- Must pass a competency-based interview.
