encentive is looking for a Head of Sales (m/w/d) for Renewable Energy to build and lead our sales function. You will develop a high-performance strategy from the ground up, establish scalable processes, and shape a strong sales team to lay the foundation for our future growth.
What You'll Do
- Develop a new customer strategy aligned with our product portfolio and company goals.
- Identify target markets, customer needs, and our competitive advantages.
- Actively manage the sales pipeline.
- Support the team in complex sales cycles, negotiations, and closing large deals.
- Regularly analyze sales data to identify trends and bottlenecks and make adjustments.
- Expand the sales team, including hiring, onboarding, and integration; train, coach, and motivate the team; manage performance and feedback; and build team culture.
- Build and optimize sales processes and playbooks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with interfaces like marketing and product.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in sales to the mid-market and SaaS sales.
- 5+ years of professional experience.
- Ability and motivation to expand and lead a sales team from currently 3 to 10-12 employees.
- Experience in building sales structures.
- Strong ability to build and optimize sustainable and scalable sales processes and structures.
Nice to Have
- Experience ideally in high-performing startups or scale-ups.
- Background in the energy sector.
- Team lead experience in SaaS companies.
- Experience having already developed and led a team, including training and creating playbooks.
Team & Environment
The sales team currently has 3 employees and is planned to expand to 10-12. You will provide disciplinary team leadership and be part of a company culture where collaboration is central and ideas are essential for further development.
