Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Manager – Purchasing to oversee daily procurement operations across our 300+ locations, managing the acquisition of goods and services for our enterprise. You will be responsible for developing purchasing strategies, maintaining supplier relationships, and leading a team to ensure operational excellence and process optimization.

What You'll Do

Lead enterprise purchasing functionality, including a team of 15 buyers supporting over 1.5 million purchase orders annually.
Oversee buying processes to ensure compliance with corporate policies for all products, services, and equipment.
Support 8,000+ caregivers by providing training for procurement functions within Oracle and Ivalua.
Implement, track, and report key functional metrics measuring departmental performance (e.g., timely invoice payment, customer satisfaction, on-hold resolution).
Ensure the timely issuance of all purchase orders and proactively expedite orders to guarantee fulfillment.
Assess, manage, and mitigate supply chain risks in collaboration with internal and external teams.
Function as the business owner and subject matter expert for data stewardship, analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence.
Manage and audit the outputs of all automated solutions that interact with purchasing applications.

What We're Looking For

A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Transportation and Logistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and seven years of experience in supply chain, data management, or purchasing.
An Associate’s degree and eight years of experience.
A Master’s degree and three years of experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information to administrative leadership.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to research and troubleshoot problems.

Nice to Have

Three years of supervisory or leadership experience.
A healthcare industry background.
Experience with ERP systems.
Project management experience.
