Cleveland Clinic Health System is hiring a Manager – Purchasing -Remote in Ohio or Florida

About the Role

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Manager – Purchasing to oversee daily procurement operations across our 300+ locations, managing the acquisition of goods and services for our enterprise. You will be responsible for developing purchasing strategies, maintaining supplier relationships, and leading a team to ensure operational excellence and process optimization.

What You'll Do

  • Lead enterprise purchasing functionality, including a team of 15 buyers supporting over 1.5 million purchase orders annually.
  • Oversee buying processes to ensure compliance with corporate policies for all products, services, and equipment.
  • Support 8,000+ caregivers by providing training for procurement functions within Oracle and Ivalua.
  • Implement, track, and report key functional metrics measuring departmental performance (e.g., timely invoice payment, customer satisfaction, on-hold resolution).
  • Ensure the timely issuance of all purchase orders and proactively expedite orders to guarantee fulfillment.
  • Assess, manage, and mitigate supply chain risks in collaboration with internal and external teams.
  • Function as the business owner and subject matter expert for data stewardship, analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence.
  • Manage and audit the outputs of all automated solutions that interact with purchasing applications.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Transportation and Logistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and seven years of experience in supply chain, data management, or purchasing.
  • An Associate’s degree and eight years of experience.
  • A Master’s degree and three years of experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information to administrative leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to research and troubleshoot problems.

Nice to Have

  • Three years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • A healthcare industry background.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Project management experience.

Work Mode

This position is remote but requires the candidate to reside and work within Ohio or Florida.
