Iron Mountain is hiring a Manager, Labor Strategy & Engagement to provide proactive Employee Relations leadership to North America field locations across all business lines. In this remote role, you will maintain effective business partnerships to drive results through dynamic workforce strategies and ensure consistent practices to mitigate risk and promote a strong, ethical environment.
What You'll Do
- Identify and recommend strategies to address Employee Relations and retention needs, participating in projects to develop workforce experience best practices and manage metrics that support proactive strategies.
- Provide Employee Relations leadership by ensuring compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local laws, responding to field inquiries, and providing direct reactive support when appropriate.
- Conduct complex investigations and mitigate risk by ensuring compliance with EEOC, DOL, and NLRB policies.
- Conduct formal and informal training for front-line leaders, serving as an advocate and advisor for supervisors and managers.
- Serve as an ER hourly employee advocate through proactive and reactive behaviors, driving timely resolution of all open issues.
- Champion company, area, and territory initiatives, functioning as a liaison between the business and Employee/Labor Relations team.
- Function as a liaison with HRBPs and COEs to assist in driving company programs and policies that advance organizational growth.
- Work in partnership with the Labor Relations team on proactive and reactive strategies, including Business Continuity Planning.
What We're Looking For
- 5-8 years of HR and/or Employee Relations experience.
- Broad knowledge of internal HR programs and services.
- Ability to understand and interpret state and federal laws associated with employee relations, including FMLA, ADA, NLRB, and EEOC case rulings.
- Ability to communicate and present effectively to all organizational levels, particularly front-line leadership and non-exempt employee groups.
- A strong sense of urgency in solving problems and defining solutions to mitigate future risk.
- Proven skills in Google Suite products, including Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
- Basic understanding of business units and financials, including the ability to read a P&L and understand key measures of success.
