The Role
The Data Shared Services team works across ATI Practices to ensure that analytics play a central role in the research and advisory work we deliver to clients.
The Manager of Data Shared Services will hold technical and operational responsibilities across client engagements, business development, and data management.
They will lead analytic-focused workstreams on client engagements and will provide strong client services orientation; have experience and comfort in building and managing analytical workstreams from conception to client delivery; have familiarity with health policy issues in Medicare and Medicaid; and have an interest in growing with the company.
What You’ll Do
• Solve data needs. Identify solutions for teams and clients across the company by advising colleagues on available datasets and analytical approaches.
• Build. Code proficiently in SAS and R for data wrangling, analysis, and reproducible workflows.
• Translate. Interpret quantitative analysis into healthcare insights and recommendations.
• Deliver findings. Communicate analysis findings and data considerations to internal project teams and external clients.
• Data Ops. Lead the design and ongoing evolution of our data infrastructure to support scalable analytics and decision-making.
What You'll Bring
• Advanced technical proficiency in SAS/R for data analysis and workflow development.
• Solid understanding of health policy, particularly Medicare and Medicaid.
• Proven ability to translate quantitative analysis into policy insights and strategic recommendations.
• Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting to an executive audience.
• Strong client service orientation with the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Experience building projects from concept through client delivery.
• Commitment to operational rigor, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
Required Licensure
• Must be an active seatholder in the CMS Virtual Research Data Center.
Preferred Experience
• Experience in health policy analytics, healthcare consulting, or advisory services.
• Interest and experience in building data visualizations and dashboards.
• Experience leading analytic components of large-scale client engagements.
• Working knowledge of database systems and SQL.
• Experience working with large datasets(e.g., Medicare, Medicaid claims data).
• Familiarity working in a consulting or advisory environment with billable hour expectations.
• Experience publishing or presenting research findings to external audiences.
• Advanced degree in public policy, public health, economics, statistics, data science, or related field.
