The Manager, Financial Information Systems (Workday Financials) will lead the optimization, support, and evolution of Ryan's financial systems landscape, with a primary focus on Workday Financials. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence in Finance through technology, partnering with Finance, IT, and external vendors to deliver scalable, efficient financial solutions.
What You'll Do

- Serve as a liaison between Finance and IT to translate business needs into system solutions and enhancements
- Lead and motivate team members to deliver high-quality results, ensuring accountability, professional growth, and alignment with organizational goals
- Support the Director, Financial Information Systems by mentoring associates, developing their Workday knowledge, and fostering a learning-focused team environment
- Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and user support resources
- Act as a trusted advisor to finance and business leaders by leveraging Workday capabilities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance data visibility
- Support acquisition-related system onboarding and integration efforts
- Partner with Global Shared Services and Service Delivery teams to understand business needs and deliver effective, technology-driven financial solutions using Workday Financials
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure Workday supports strategic financial goals such as faster close cycles, streamlined reporting, and stronger compliance
- Lead the administration, configuration, and enhancement of Workday Financials, including modules such as Core Financials, Accounts Payable, Asset Management, Project Billing, Revenue Management, and Payroll
- Manage integrations and data flows between Workday and third-party tools such as Concur (Expense Management) and High Radius (Collections and Cash Application)
- Coordinate user readiness, testing, and training activities for new Workday features and enhancements to ensure smooth adoption across the organization
- Follow all documented user and system control procedures, including support with User Access Reviews and Change Control processes
- Collaborate with internal IT and data teams to manage integrations, migrations, and data integrity between Workday and other enterprise platforms
- Uphold Ryan’s commitment to excellence by delivering solutions that are accurate, efficient, and aligned with company values
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday functionality to align with Ryan’s evolving financial processes and best practices
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience managing or supporting financial systems
- 3+ years of hands-on Workday Financials experience
- At least 1 year leading projects, workstreams, or small technical/functional teams
- Strong understanding of financial processes and controls
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and drive results
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Concur and High Radius tools is highly desirable
- Experience in a high-growth or acquisition-driven environment is a plus
- Workday certifications or formal training
- Familiarity with Prism Analytics and Workday reporting tools
- Workday Composite Reporting and/or BIRT Certification (preferred)
- Experience supporting global payroll or multi-entity environments
- Knowledge of SOX compliance and audit requirements

Compensation: For Denver, CO-based roles: $120,000 - $150,000; For New York, NY-based roles: $130,000 - $168,000; For Bellevue, WA-based roles: $125,000 - $160,000; For Carlsbad, Glendale, Irvine, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and San Diego, CA-based roles: $125,000 - $160,000; For Oakland and San Jose, CA-based roles: $130,000 - $168,000.
