AGCO Corporation is seeking a Manager of Field Support to deliver an exceptional customer experience for our PTx precision agriculture product line. This role is central to providing advanced technical support to dealers and growers, leading training, and collaborating closely with our R&D team on new product launches.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical support by fielding calls from growers and dealers during office hours and an after‑hours rotation.
- Respond to inquiries and call‑back requests placed on the online ticket system.
- Support customers in‑field with issues that cannot be resolved remotely.
- Conduct on-site service calls to dealer and customer locations when issues exceed dealer capabilities.
- Conduct on-site training events and assist or occasionally present at Planter Technology Institution events.
- Create, edit, and generate content for technical publications including operator and installation manuals, technical and service bulletins, knowledge base articles, and product instructions.
- Lead breakout sessions of both introductory and advanced dealer training.
- Communicate issues and future needs to the R&D team for current and future products.
- Collaborate with R&D during go‑to‑market processes to ensure successful product launches.
- Compile, analyze, and report on test plot and field data to support marketing and product research.
- Set up, tear down, and staff show booths at regional and national trade shows.
- Rebuild and maintain planters used for trade shows, testing, and training—including installation of all products.
- Deliver projects focused on customer experience, process improvement, and training effectiveness.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Systems Technology or Agronomy, plus 3+ years of industry experience supporting Precision Ag equipment OR 5+ years of related industry product support experience and familiarity in agriculture.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with evidence of creativity.
- Ability to communicate and present to large groups.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record, and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and company-administered vehicle operator assessment.
- Will be required to operate a company-owned vehicle for regular field visits; safe and responsible driving is essential.
- Must adhere to all company and state vehicle operation policies and procedures.
