Garner Health is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Employer Experience team. You will be responsible for client-facing web and backend development, collaborating closely with product and design to drive the development of applications in a fast-paced environment focused on improving the U.S. healthcare system.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical oversight and drive new features with a focus on Garner’s strategic mission.
- Build a high-performance team by mentoring, providing feedback, and hiring.
- Continuously strive for quality while maintaining speed of delivery.
- Collaborate across disciplines by identifying bottlenecks and risks, proposing mitigation, and communicating tradeoffs.
- Protect our users’ privacy and security through best practices.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of hands-on engineering experience.
- Track record of translating ambiguous business requirements into scalable solutions and new product features.
- 2+ years of managing engineering teams.
- Proven ability to inspire, motivate, mentor, and retain top engineering talent.
- Familiarity with web application development, API design and cloud infrastructure like AWS.
- Strong sense of ownership and proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Willingness to 'roll up your sleeves' and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success.
- Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment.
- Desire to be a part of our mission to improve the U.S. healthcare system.
