ContiTech is looking for a Manager to lead a team of developers creating innovative solutions and enhancing key systems. You will manage the full software development lifecycle for our Billing – Rental and Fuel Systems, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and aligned with business goals.
What You'll Do
- Provide direction and day-to-day management of development staff to remove roadblocks and ensure progress.
- Prioritize, schedule, and ensure the completion of development projects according to business needs.
- Foster collaboration by leading regular meetings and communicating with process owners, product managers, agile teams, IT groups, and other stakeholders.
- Hire new associates, conduct performance reviews, and guide and mentor their career development.
- Ensure on-time and defect-free delivery of applications in accordance with company standards.
- Ensure technical leads follow the Penske Development Process (PDP) and maintain management reporting.
- Manage responsibilities for multiple systems, agile teams, and cross-functional projects.
- Follow IT practices in security, licensing, source code management, incident management, and architectural standards.
- Coach and mentor associates to develop team members and increase their value.
- Reduce complexity in the technical environment.
- Identify future opportunities for system enhancement and value generation.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or Information Systems, or equivalent development experience.
- 12+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years leading/supervising multiple IT projects through the full SDLC, including defining complex application architecture and integration with multi-tiered systems.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a small to mid-size team.
- Proven experience in team development and performance management.
- Experience in migrating legacy applications to cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Experience in implementing large-scale applications with Event Driven and Domain Driven Architecture patterns.
- Significant functional experience (8+ years) with core technologies: Java Enterprise Technologies, Spring Boot, Spring Frameworks, Restful Web services, SOA, Angular, HTML/CSS, SQL, DB2/Oracle, Kafka, Cloud Technologies.
- Experience in leading teams in custom development and evaluating, selecting, integrating, and implementing application software (package) solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills.
- Experience in building and managing relationships with various business and IT stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate highly technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical individuals.
- Experience in prioritizing technology needs within set budget requirements.
- Knowledge of project management methods and tools.
- Strong experience with Agile (SAFe) and DevOps approaches.
- Strong knowledge of integration technologies like Spring Integration Framework, API Management, Micro-services.
- Expertise in leading the architecture, design & implementation of highly complex data integrations using technologies like Spring Boot, Angular, DB2/Oracle.
- Advanced experience working with various IT teams to build and implement scalable architectures.
- Full fluency and expert-level knowledge in systems and languages applicable to the role.
