Nutramax Manufacturing is hiring a Maintenance Technician to provide essential mechanical support for our manufacturing and packaging operations. In this role, you will ensure our production facilities and equipment run efficiently and in compliance with quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Plan and organize mechanical steps for the production of safe, quality products.
- Set up and operate nutraceutical processing and packaging equipment in conformance with cGMP guidelines.
- Perform varied preventive maintenance duties and equipment maintenance according to Standard Procedures.
- Perform set-ups and adjustments to manufacturing/packaging equipment to ensure peak efficiency.
- Operate miscellaneous related equipment and repair or report defects immediately.
- Clean and inspect contact parts for wear or damage.
- Sign off on equipment before being placed into operation, when necessary.
- Maintain and repair all mechanical equipment pertaining to production, including filling, packaging, and manufacturing machinery.
- Perform general facility maintenance such as plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work as needed.
- Interact with external vendors or contractors for services related to production equipment and facilities.
- Prioritize tasks to best suit Operations.
- Maintain spare parts inventory.
- Adhere to all established Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Policies (e.g., lockout/tagout).
- Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks for production equipment and facility operations.
- Train new employees on equipment operation, safety, maintenance, SOPs, and GMPs as needed.
- Work overtime to complete PMs and repairs during downtime.
- Adapt to schedule changes and mandatory overtime as deemed necessary for maintenance and repairs.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic in a GMP or Pharmaceutical environment.
- Ability to work at a fast pace to achieve daily goals.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to use basic hand tools.
- Regularly required to stand and bend.
- Ability to use hands and arms to lift and reach.
- Ability to climb up and down stairs.
- Ability to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Ability to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to use both arms to push, pull, or lift.
- Ability to bend and squat.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other departments and function within a team environment.
- Regular attendance is required.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience and/or process knowledge in a Maintenance Role is a plus.
