Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to support facility operations in Merrillville, IN. In this hands-on role, you'll perform inspection, maintenance, and repair across a variety of building systems, working independently and collaboratively to ensure optimal building performance and tenant satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Maintain lighting systems, including bulb and ballast replacement.
- Perform general interior maintenance such as HVAC/R coil cleaning and evaporator coil maintenance.
- Conduct kitchen equipment maintenance on meat grinders, cubers, saws, and slicers.
- Complete minor plumbing repairs and troubleshooting.
- Execute special assignments, including painting, locksmith work, and tenant service requests.
- Respond to after-hours emergency calls as part of on-call responsibilities.
- Document work performance and update work order status in real-time using CMMS systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain clean, safe work environments.
- Procure materials and submit P-card receipts daily.
What We're Looking For
- Valid state driver's license.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 80 lbs and use ladders up to 30 feet.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Excellent English communication skills (oral and written).
- Physical capability for frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving.
- Ability to work in adverse conditions, including extreme temperatures.
Nice to Have
- Completion of an applicable technical training program.
- Experience with CMMS systems.
- HVAC/R maintenance experience.
- Kitchen equipment maintenance background.

You will work collaboratively, supporting and being supported by Mobile Engineers and Control Systems Technicians.
