Web Team Associates is looking for a Mainframe Developer Trainee to join our team supporting U-Haul's operations. This role is designed to launch your career in software development, providing extensive training on the mainframe platform. We welcome candidates with a hard-working nature, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.

What You'll Do

Attend training sessions and complete training assignments.
Work individually and in a team setting.
Learn how to enhance existing code, develop new code, and resolve issues (bugs) on the mainframe platform.
Acquire skills in associated mainframe tools such as JCL (scripting language), Control-M (job scheduling), and Control-D (report viewing).
Act as an advocate for U-Haul's business teams by learning processes, terminology, and key contacts.
Periodically update Azure DevOps work items to facilitate project throughput and management.

What We're Looking For

Ability to pass a Critical Thinking Test with an acceptable score.
Willingness to work after hours and weekends occasionally (after the initial 4-month trainee period).
Willingness to work remotely, although exceptions are possible.
