Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of machine learning systems, from design and data strategy to modeling, evaluation, and deployment in production
- Develop and refine large language models for clinical reasoning tasks
- Optimize large language models to answer medical questions accurately
- Train and adapt large language models to generate responses grounded in evidence
- Balance competing demands of accuracy, speed, cost, and safety when deploying models in critical environments
- Create robust evaluation methods to verify model safety and clinical correctness
- Embed machine learning components into product features and applications used by patients
- Track live system performance and improve models using real-world data and user feedback
- Collaborate with engineers and medical professionals to define correctness in complex clinical processes
