Latent is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of machine learning systems, from design and data strategy to modeling, evaluation, and deployment in production
  • Develop and refine large language models for clinical reasoning tasks
  • Optimize large language models to answer medical questions accurately
  • Train and adapt large language models to generate responses grounded in evidence
  • Balance competing demands of accuracy, speed, cost, and safety when deploying models in critical environments
  • Create robust evaluation methods to verify model safety and clinical correctness
  • Embed machine learning components into product features and applications used by patients
  • Track live system performance and improve models using real-world data and user feedback
  • Collaborate with engineers and medical professionals to define correctness in complex clinical processes
