Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer to innovate at the intersection of smart building technology and privacy-preserving AI. You will develop advanced algorithms that enable buildings to intuitively understand human presence and behavior, creating cutting-edge solutions for low-power devices globally.
What You'll Do
- Develop next-generation, privacy-focused algorithms leveraging novel IoT sensors.
- Build advanced detection and tracking systems to generate actionable insights for smart buildings.
- Design and implement assistive technology models to empower users with special needs.
- Collaborate with product teams to develop scalable data products and machine learning pipelines.
- Optimize models for deployment across cloud and edge devices ensuring high performance and reliability.
What We're Looking For
- MS or PhD in machine learning, computer science, or a related STEM field.
- 3+ years of experience in image processing and computer vision, including pose estimation, action recognition, and tracking.
- Strong programming skills in Python; familiarity with OpenCV, PyTorch, and NumPy.
- Experience with large-scale ML systems deployed on cloud and edge platforms.
- Knowledge of both deep learning and classical statistical modeling techniques.
- Excellent scientific communication skills, with ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
