BTG Pactual is looking for a Machine Learning and Analytics Engineer to join its Data & AI team. You will develop solutions that combine data, machine learning, and intelligent agents to enhance the firm's analytical capacity and operational efficiency, working closely with business areas to transform demands into high-impact products.
What You'll Do
- Develop ML models: create, train, validate, and adjust supervised and unsupervised models to solve real business problems.
- Apply intelligent agents: design and implement solutions using autonomous agents and advanced AI tools for analytical automation and decision-making.
- Perform exploratory analyses: conduct statistical studies and data exploration to identify patterns, trends, and optimization opportunities.
- Produce ad-hoc analytical deliveries: create on-demand analyses for various areas, providing data-based diagnostics, insights, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders: work with business experts, product owners, engineering, and other teams to transform requirements into complete, functional analytical solutions.
- Contribute to quality and best practices: help evolve analytical processes and standards, maintaining organization, versioning, and proper code review and maintenance practices.
- Develop documentation: create technical documentation on models, analyses, flows, and methodological decisions, ensuring ease of maintenance and evolution of solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Information Systems, or related fields.
- Availability to work in a hybrid model (4x per week) in São Paulo.
- Solid experience with applied machine learning, including modeling, tuning, and performance evaluation.
- Knowledge of SQL for manipulating and analyzing large volumes of data.
- Experience with Python and libraries like pandas, scikit-learn, numpy, matplotlib, seaborn.
- Experience with versioning tools and agile methodologies.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of generative models, RAG, AI agents, cloud tools, and data pipelines.
