As a Localization QA Game Tester at Side, you will be the first person to see the localized game in its entirety, experiencing it as end users will. You will work within a multilingual project team to ensure the game is free from grammatical errors, cultural inconsistencies, and accurately localized into Dutch. You will work on top gaming titles for leading publishers across various cutting-edge platforms.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with a global project team.
- Identify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language errors.
- Ensure adherence to console manufacturer guidelines.
- Log details of errors and issues, providing improvement suggestions.
- Ensure accurate translation within context and maintain consistency in terminology and imagery.
- Identify missing or incorrect content and ensure proper display/format of dates, calendars, and characters.
- Write reports on errors and bugs found.
- Perform ad hoc translation.
- Oversee the quality of your work.
- Collaborate with the team and contribute to the overall success of projects.
What We're Looking For
- Fluency in Dutch.
- Conversational in English.
- Strong cultural understanding of the language you are applying for (Dutch).
- Computer literacy – particularly with Excel.
- Robust Internet research skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Previous experience with using different software, applications, and websites.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and collaborate within project teams.
- Candidate must be located within Europe.
