Responsibilities
- Secure carrier capacity for assigned loads and customer shipments
- Communicate with carriers to influence capacity during tight market conditions
- Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery, ensuring on-time performance
- Update shipment status in the system (pickup, in transit, delivered, empty, etc.)
- Communicate proactively with shippers and receivers regarding shipment status changes
- Reschedule appointments when needed to ensure service continuity
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, shippers, and receivers
- Manage detention and expedite approvals when required
- Negotiate rates with carriers and customers for spot shipments
- Train customers and carriers on TMS tools and workflows
- Identify performance trends across carriers and customers and recommend improvements
- Support shipment coordination across multiple nodes (shipper, cross-dock, DC, store)
- Assist in onboarding new customers, vendors, and receivers
- Create and maintain SOPs and internal process documentation
- Demonstrate ownership of assigned accounts and business segments
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or customer service
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Spanish and English (written, verbal, and presentation skills)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas)
Nice to Have
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or customer service
- Understanding of freight and transportation operations (import/export and domestic)
- Experience with reporting and analytics (BI tools, data validation, insights)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas)
- SAP experience is a plus

Additional Information
- Evening shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- Rotational schedule including weekends
- 2 days off per week (rotational)
- Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Spanish and English (written, verbal, and presentation skills)
- SAP experience is a plus
