About the Role
The Logistics Coordinator manages regional freight movements, coordinates carrier activities, tracks shipments, and ensures compliance with delivery schedules and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate regional transportation of goods between facilities and customers
- Schedule pickups and deliveries with third-party carriers
- Monitor shipment progress and resolve delays
- Maintain accurate logistics records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations
- Communicate delivery timelines to internal stakeholders
- Track freight costs and report variances
- Support warehouse teams with inbound and outbound logistics
- Manage customs documentation for cross-border shipments
- Troubleshoot logistical issues during transit
- Collaborate with procurement on material flow planning
- Verify carrier performance and service levels
- Prepare shipping labels and manifests
- Coordinate temperature-controlled transport when required
- Respond to customer inquiries about shipment status
- Ensure proper handling of hazardous or perishable materials
- Maintain logistics databases with real-time updates
- Assist in optimizing delivery routes
- Support audit readiness for logistics processes
- Facilitate communication between drivers and facilities
- Track on-time delivery performance metrics
- Escalate critical issues to management promptly
- Ensure packaging meets transportation standards
- Assist with inventory reconciliation during transfers
- Prepare reports on freight KPIs
