Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda for court submission
- Submit court filings electronically in both state and federal jurisdictions
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties
- Perform legal research and conduct factual inquiries to support case strategy
- Create discovery materials, including interrogatories and responses to requests
- Issue and deliver legal summonses in accordance with procedural rules
- Arrange deposition logistics and prepare summaries of testimony
- Assemble trial binders and supporting exhibits in coordination with legal support staff
- Compose and file court documents such as pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs
- Keep updated indexes of filed pleadings and discovery materials
- Sort and manage exhibits, evidence, briefs, and appendices for case readiness
- Support attorneys in responding to discovery requests and interrogatories
- Collect pertinent data from diverse sources to assist case development
- Act as a liaison between trial teams and internal or external third parties
- Assist in preparing witnesses for depositions and trial testimony
- Contribute to settlement discussions and related documentation
- Carry out additional tasks as needed to support business objectives
