Transdev is hiring an experienced Light Duty Technician (A-Level Fleet Automotive Mechanic) to join our team in Midland, TX. You will apply your expertise to diagnose, repair, and maintain automotive engines across our fleet, ensuring the safety, efficiency, and longevity of our vehicles and equipment.
What You'll Do
- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on engines.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
- Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
- Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.
What We're Looking For
- Proven knowledge of and experience working with Dodge, Chevrolet (Chevy), and Ford engines.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mechanic.
Nice to Have
- CDL License.
- ASE certifications (ASE certification program provided).
- Mechanic’s Tool Set.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $22.00 – $30.00 per hour.
- Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks.
- Sick days: 5 days.
- Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating.
