Start a rewarding career in engineering through a structured apprenticeship focused on installing new lift systems. This role offers a blend of practical fieldwork and formal education, designed to lead to an NVQ Level 3 qualification. You'll work directly on construction sites across Glasgow and surrounding areas, gaining real-world experience while building technical expertise.
What You’ll Do
- Install new lift equipment under the guidance of experienced engineers
- Progress through a structured training program combining site work and classroom instruction
- Manage installation projects from initial setup to final handover
- Travel between project locations as needed throughout the year
- Use digital tools and documentation processes to track progress and ensure compliance
What We’re Looking For
- At least five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including Maths, English, and a STEM subject
- Be 18 years or older at the start of the program
- Hold a valid UK driving license and have access to a vehicle
- Own a laptop for training and documentation purposes
- Commit to completing all phases of the apprenticeship, including scheduled training

Compensation and Work Environment
This is an onsite role based in Glasgow, with work conducted primarily at construction sites. You will move between locations as projects advance. The salary increases over the three-year program: Year 1: £16,416, Year 2: £21,888, Year 3: £30,096.
