Equip Health is hiring a Licensed Professional Counselor to join our mission of expanding access to evidence-based eating disorder treatment. In this role, you will provide virtual therapy as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, delivering life-changing care directly to patients in Washington, DC and beyond.
What You'll Do
- Provide evidence-based family, individual, and group therapy for eating disorders and comorbid diagnoses in a virtual telehealth setting.
- Implement treatments like family-based treatment (FBT), enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT-E), and cognitive behavioral therapy for ARFID for patients across the lifespan.
- Maintain a caseload of 30-40 patients, with 20-26 hours of direct care weekly and remaining time for administrative tasks.
- Assess and diagnose mental health conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, dietitians, and mentors, as well as outside providers.
- Utilize between-session messaging and Equip’s EMR to support patients and communicate with the team.
- Engage in Treatment Team meetings, supervision, and department meetings.
- Maintain licensure in your home state and obtain licensure in other states as requested (costs covered by Equip).
What We're Looking For
- Active, unrestricted, and independent Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license from the state listed in this posting.
- Ability to support a diverse caseload of patients of all ages, co-occurring conditions, backgrounds, cultures, and acuity levels.
- Passion for evidence-based care and for expanding access to mental health and eating disorder treatment.
- Ability to provide care 2 evenings per week (available until 8pm in your caseload's primary time zone).
- Enthusiastic, strong team player mindset.
- Ability to safely and effectively deliver care in a virtual setting.
Nice to Have
- Experience in Family-Based Treatment and/or eating disorder treatment.
- Experience with evidence-based treatment and/or intensive treatment settings.
- Experience supporting patients with suicidal ideation and trauma.
- Case management experience and/or experience working closely with a multidisciplinary care team.
Team & Environment
You will join a multidisciplinary care team including nutrition, medical, psychiatry, and mentorship professionals, working collaboratively to deliver comprehensive patient care.

- Compensation: $71,000 to $105,000 Annually.
