UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Urology of Central PA office in Camp Hill. This is a full-time, day shift position where you'll provide professional nursing care to office patients under supervision and play a key role in clinical operations.
What You'll Do
- Draw blood and administer medications including oral, SQ, IM, and IV drip.
- Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
- Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
- Document all activities, interventions, patient/family responses, and medications in the medical record.
- Perform IV therapy under direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Complying with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies like OSHA, CLIA, and the PA Department of Health.
- Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
- Promote wellness by providing patient education materials and communicating physician advice.
- Answer nurse triage lines and clinical pool messages.
- Comply with all policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
- Current LPN licensure either in Pennsylvania or a multistate license via the NLC agreement.
- CPR certification based on AHA standards within 30 days of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Act 34 clearance with renewal.
Nice to Have
- One year clinical experience.
