Penn State New Kensington is hiring a Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor of Mathematics for a full-time, non-tenure-track, one-year appointment covering the Fall 25/Spring 26 academic year.
What You'll Do
- Teach 24 credits per academic year, covering courses like pre-calculus, calculus, vector calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, and introductory or advanced statistics.
- Deliver instruction for day and/or evening classes as required.
- Participate in course, curriculum, and program development.
- Advise students and provide career guidance.
- Engage in campus, university, and community service activities.
- Pursue professional development to stay current in the discipline.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of a master’s degree for appointment as Lecturer, or a PhD for appointment as Assistant Teaching Professor, in mathematics or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 1 year of college-level teaching experience.
