Deep Origin is hiring a Lead/Senior Manual QA Engineer based in Yerevan, Armenia to join our team building an operating system for science. This role requires strong manual QA skills and a flexible schedule to collaborate effectively with our team in the U.S. Pacific Time Zone.
What You'll Do
- Perform thorough manual testing of web and mobile applications.
- Design, execute, and maintain test cases based on functional specifications.
- Report, track, and manage bugs through the complete defect lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members across different time zones.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings aligned with the Pacific time zone.
- Identify gaps in test coverage and suggest improvements to the QA process.
- Provide clear, concise, and actionable feedback to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Define QA processes and mentor or guide QA team members (for lead-level candidates).
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in manual QA for web and mobile applications.
- Strong skills in API testing using tools like Postman or similar.
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective test documentation.
- Hands-on experience with QA tools such as Jira or TestRail.
- Solid understanding of the SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Based in Yerevan, Armenia, with flexibility for hybrid work (remote + in-office).
- Available to work evenings to overlap with the U.S. Pacific Time Zone.
