About the Role
The Lead UX/UI Designer will lead the design of digital products, shaping user-centered experiences through research, wireframing, prototyping, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design for digital platforms and applications
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
- Create user personas, journey maps, and service blueprints
- Develop wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes
- Collaborate with product managers and developers throughout the development lifecycle
- Ensure designs align with accessibility standards and inclusive practices
- Define and maintain a consistent design system and UI patterns
- Present design concepts and iterations to stakeholders
- Gather feedback and refine designs based on user input
- Translate complex philanthropic workflows into intuitive interfaces
- Prioritize user needs in product design and feature development
- Work closely with engineering to ensure design feasibility
- Support agile development processes with timely deliverables
- Mentor junior designers and provide constructive feedback
- Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices
- Document design processes and rationale for team alignment
- Ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints
- Optimize user flows to improve engagement and usability
- Integrate feedback from diverse stakeholder groups
- Balance user needs with technical and organizational constraints
Nice to Have
- Experience in nonprofit, philanthropy, or mission-based organizations
- Familiarity with data visualization for complex information
- Knowledge of content management systems and digital publishing
