Honeywell is hiring a Lead Software Engineer, Site Reliability Engineering to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems and services. You will work closely with development and operations teams to implement best practices in automation, monitoring, and reliability engineering.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and manage monitoring and alerting systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve system architecture and reliability through automation and best practices.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for incidents to prevent recurrence.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in site reliability engineering or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of cloud services, containerization, and orchestration technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
- Experience with monitoring tools and practices, including Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
Nice to Have
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Passion for continuous improvement and learning.
- Experience with people leadership.
