Together AI is hiring a Lead Product Designer to play a pivotal role in shaping our AI development tools and laying the foundation for our growing design organization. At a research-driven company focused on open, transparent AI systems, you will lead complex UX initiatives, elevate design quality for technical users, and establish the processes and standards that will enable future team growth.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to the overall design and direction of Together products.
- Design and ship high-quality products and improvements, from early concepts to high-fidelity prototypes and visuals.
- Partner closely with engineering, product management, AI research, and design peers to define both long-term strategy and short-term tactics.
- Engage in user research to better understand our users and refine our products.
- Contribute to and evolve our design system.
- Own and improve shared components within the design system in collaboration with Engineering.
- Ensure strong implementation quality by partnering closely with Engineering throughout delivery.
- Maintain consistency and cohesion across product surfaces.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in a professional software product-driven environment.
- Advanced skills in UX and interaction design.
- Experience building developer tools, IDEs, infrastructure platforms, or data products.
- Demonstrated experience building, scaling, or significantly contributing to a production design system, including component architecture and cross-product consistency.
- Experienced in user research.
- Technical enough to learn about the needs of our users.
- Can consume and interpret user interaction data.
- Experience designing complex software used daily by technical users.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
- Experience with data-informed design.
- High standards for visual, interaction, and product craftsmanship.
- Proven ability to ramp quickly in new technical environments.
- Experience designing enterprise software.

- Love thinking through complex interaction design problems.
- Get excited about being immersed in the AI ecosystem and defining how tooling for AI services should look and behave.
- Enjoy tackling ambiguous problems and shaping them into a clear vision.

Team & Environment
You will be part of a scaling product team, collaborating closely with Engineering, Product, Marketing, and AI Research.
Benefits & Compensation
- Competitive compensation: $200,000 - $240,000.
