Optiml is hiring a Lead Product Designer to own design and user experience for key areas of our core product. You will join a team of 11-50 employees and be instrumental in translating complex problems into intuitive solutions while shaping our design culture.
What You'll Do
- Lead design and user experience (UX) for parts of our core product.
- Ship deliverables like prototypes, UX flows, wireframes, and UI mockups to communicate and experiment with ideas.
- Partner with team leads to prioritize initiatives in the product roadmap.
- Break down ambiguous problems and prioritize high-impact work given resource constraints.
- Empathize with enterprise customers, identify their pain points, and advocate for them continually.
- Distill insights from across the organization into updated beliefs and design principles.
- Shape the design practice within the organization, including documentation, workflows, and frameworks, to support all design collaborators.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in a tech or startup environment.
- Extraordinary visual design skills and a strong understanding of UX principles.
- Proven experience designing data-rich enterprise applications.
- Ability to interface with business stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of framing design decisions with clarity and intent.
- Strong collaboration skills with product teams shipping software.
- Experience with prototyping.
Nice to Have
- Experience in Service Design Thinking and Customer Experience (CX).
- Understanding of software engineering workflows.
- Experience with user interviews, user testing, or UX research.
