Role Overview

Take ownership of the full lifecycle of English-language curriculum designed specifically for Korean learners. In this role, you’ll shape the educational experience for one of our most strategic markets, ensuring content is pedagogically sound, culturally appropriate, and aligned with our brand’s core principles. You’ll work closely with Marketing, Product, and regional teams to build learning pathways that resonate with users and drive measurable progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the design and delivery of Korean-English language curriculum from concept to launch, ensuring high quality and timely execution.
  • Apply deep understanding of Korean adult learners’ needs to create engaging, modern content that supports real-world language use.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop data-informed strategies that improve engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Act as the go-to expert on Korean market dynamics and English acquisition challenges, guiding content decisions across departments.
  • Lead and mentor external contributors to maintain consistency, elevate quality, and scale production efficiently.
  • Integrate AI-powered tools into content workflows to prototype faster and optimize curriculum development.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and adapt content based on user behavior and feedback.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in Korean with strong cultural insight into how English learning fits within the Korean context.
  • Minimum of four years’ experience designing English curriculum for Korean adults in an ed tech environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently, make sound editorial and pedagogical decisions, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communicator who can articulate trade-offs, scope, and timelines clearly across teams.
  • Comfortable using analytics to assess content performance and guide improvements.
  • Familiarity with modern content systems and a willingness to adopt new technologies quickly.
  • Based in the U.S. or Korea; availability to work in-person in Seoul or San Francisco is preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience managing contractors or junior designers.
  • Background launching content in coordination with marketing campaigns.
  • Willingness to collaborate in-office when needed.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role with team hubs in San Francisco and Seoul. Candidates must be located in the U.S. or Korea.
