HighLevel is seeking a Lead Engineer - WordPress to guide the technical vision and development of our WordPress-based platform. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting robust, scalable solutions and providing technical leadership.
What You'll Do
- Lead the architecture and development of complex WordPress solutions
- Establish and enforce coding standards, performance benchmarks, and security best practices
- Mentor and guide team members on WordPress development and engineering principles
- Collaborate cross-functionally to translate product requirements into technical specifications
- Diagnose and resolve advanced technical challenges and performance bottlenecks
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience leading WordPress development projects from conception to delivery
- Expert-level knowledge of WordPress core, theme/plugin architecture, and the REST API
- Strong background in modern PHP development, JavaScript (ES6+), and associated tooling
- Deep understanding of web performance optimization, security, and scalable infrastructure
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
