Mahindra & Mahindra is hiring a Lead Engineer to design and implement HMI applications for next-generation automotive infotainment systems on Android Automotive OS (AAOS) platforms. You will be responsible for bringing intuitive user interfaces to life while optimizing for performance on embedded systems.

What You'll Do

Design and implement HMI applications for Infotainment systems on Android (AAOS) platforms.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to realize visual concepts using tools like Android Studio, Kanzi, and Unreal Engine.
Integrate HMI layers with middleware and the Android Automotive framework.
Optimize 3D graphics, animations, and overall performance for smooth rendering on embedded systems with real-time constraints.
Conduct debugging, unit testing, and validation of HMI features across various hardware platforms.
Create clear and concise documentation for design, architecture, and workflows.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including system architects, platform developers, and QA engineers.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
Proficiency in Android Studio and Java/Kotlin.
Strong experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS).
Strong knowledge of Jetpack Compose.
Experience with UI/UX tools such as Qt, Kanzi, and Unreal Engine.
Understanding of embedded systems, real-time OS, and performance optimization.
Knowledge of automotive communication protocols like CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD, and Agile development.

Nice to Have

Experience with AOSP customization and Android HAL development.
Exposure to graphics rendering techniques, animations, 3D graphics principles, and GPU optimization.
Familiarity with SoCs from Qualcomm, Renesas, or NXP.
Knowledge of cybersecurity standards such as ISO/SAE 21434.
